Currencies, plugs, holidays and event dates come from public sources and are re-checked on a schedule. Each page shows when it was last updated.

No paid rankings
No tourist board, hotel or airline can pay for a better score. Destinations are ranked only by how good the weather is that month.
About WhereToTravel
wheretotravel.info helps independent travellers decide where to go and when to go there. We cover 106 countries: 34 in Europe, 27 in the Americas, 24 in Asia, 14 in Africa and 7 in Oceania. For each country, we show what each month of the year is usually like. This lets you plan around the weather instead of guessing.
How the month scores work Each month gets a score. The score is based on climate records for every year from 2015 to 2024, not on one good or bad year. Looking at many years together gives a fairer picture of what a month is normally like. Weather can still surprise you, so treat a score as a guide, not a promise.
We are open about our method. The current scoring method is version 1. The version number tells you which set of rules a score follows.
We also tell you when a month is a poor choice. If a place is usually too hot, too wet or too cold at a certain time, we say so plainly. A trip at the wrong time can cost you more than it gives you.
